WASTE WATER EVAPORATION

solutions

Evaporators manage water in industrial environments and produce water evaporation rates beyond traditional approaches such as misting heads and irrigation systems. They are used to expand the capacity or extend the life of current water treatment facilities (such as tailing dams, evaporation and cooling ponds or irrigation fields). Other times, new facilities are designed to maximize the accelerated evaporation rates achieved using our systems. They remove significant amounts of excess and unwanted water economically, yet in an environmentally friendly way.

System Design and Automation

The ColdMist Evaporator is designed to simply and reliably evaporate your waste water. Evaporators atomize water through 30 nozzles and efficiently throw water spray over 200 feet (60 meters). The machine operates best at an optimum operating pressure between 80 and 120 psi. The high air velocity from our unique fan and barrel design combines with optimized water droplets to accelerate evaporation. Annual evaporation rates up to 75% have been achieved, with averages typically between 20-to-65%.

Penguin series atomizers give high volume, ultra-fine mists that disperse quickly. Incredible ease of installation and use, they have a simple single or 3-phase motor; there are no sophisticated controllers or electronics. Simply wire in the atomizer, plumb a water line, and they are ready to work. Operates on single-phase, or 3 phase 220/440V also available.

Choose a Penguin ™ electrically-powered atomiser when some to all of the following design conditions apply to you…

Choose a Proptec™ hydraulically-powered atomizer when any of the following design conditions apply to you:

  • mobile applications
  • small size and weight of the atomizer is desireable
  • environment too hot for an electric motor (e.g. stacks & flues)
  • spray environment too corrosive for an electric motor
  • cannot risk electricity or electric fields in spray application
  • continuous high speeds (5000 RPM or higher) are desired, ie: for high volume fogging or misting applications over 2 gallons per minute (higher power demand).
  • very high spray rates (over 4 gallons (16 l ) per minute.
  • high volume air assist and high volume spray are required in unison
  • hydraulic power is available, or there is an engine-driven powersource that could provide hydraulic power

If none of these conditions apply to you, you may want to consider our PENGUIN™series electric powered atomizers .
